About Remote Job Ready

Remote Job Ready is where capable professionals come to get positioned, not just prepared.

An end-to-end remote career platform built on real experience — not theory.

Lua Navales — Founder of Remote Job Ready
The Person Behind the Platform

Hi, I am Lua Navales — founder of Remote Job Ready, communication strategist, and remote work mentor based in the Philippines.

I have spent over a decade building a career entirely in the remote world. I have worked in customer success, operations, client management, and product ownership across the ecommerce, SaaS, and coaching industries — serving clients across Australia and the United States, leading cross-functional remote teams, and eventually representing my company at global conferences like the Conversational AI and Customer Experience Summit in Singapore.

I am also a singer, a mom of two, a former university English teacher, and a lifelong believer that how you communicate your value is just as important as the value itself.

Everything I teach, I have lived. This is not theory. It is a framework built from real experience in the remote work industry.

My Journey Into Remote Work

I did not start in the remote world with a clear plan. I started with a leap of faith.

I was teaching English at university — a stable, respectable career. But my brother was working from home as a web developer, building something that looked and felt like freedom. He told me I could do it too. That my skills in communication and writing were exactly what remote employers were looking for.

I was skeptical. Remote work felt foreign, uncharted, almost risky. But I trusted him and took the leap.

That was 2012. I started small — writing articles for websites, ghostwriting for a founder, learning the landscape from the ground up. Then came my first full-time remote job. Then the next. Then the next.

I will not pretend it was smooth. I made mistakes. I fumbled communication, misread expectations, and learned plenty of hard lessons along the way. But I was fortunate in a way I do not take lightly: the people I worked for actually wanted me to succeed. They were not just bosses. They were mentors.

They taught me how to overcommunicate with clarity, how to give and receive feedback without defensiveness, how to bring the full range of who you are into the work you do. They showed me that professional excellence and personal wholeness are not in conflict — that being present for my daughters, showing up on stage as a singer, and delivering exceptional work for a client across the world are all expressions of the same person.

That is a lesson I carry into everything I build.

What also carried me through was something that started long before remote work ever entered my life. For over 20 years I was part of a world-renowned choir. That experience gave me something no job description ever asks for but every great professional needs: grit, discipline, and the deep understanding that showing up consistently, even when it is hard, is what separates the people who grow from the people who stop.

Each role taught me something new.

Each client challenged me to communicate more clearly, lead more intentionally, and deliver more consistently across time zones and cultures. Over the years I moved from support to operations to client success to product ownership — not because I followed a prescribed path, but because I kept showing up prepared and kept making my value impossible to ignore.

Why Remote Job Ready Exists

Along the way, people kept finding me.

Friends. Former students. Colleagues. People who had heard I was working remotely and wanted to know how. I helped them the way my brother had helped me — rewriting resumes, tightening cover letters, coaching them through interviews, telling them what to say and how to say it.

They started getting interviews. They started getting hired.

That is when I understood something I have never stopped believing: the gap was never skill. It was always positioning.

Talented, experienced professionals were being overlooked not because they lacked capability but because no one had ever taught them how to translate their experience into language that global employers immediately understand. They were sending the same generic remote job applications as everyone else, hoping someone would take the time to look past the surface.

No one takes that time. You have to make your value impossible to miss.

I built Remote Job Ready to teach people how to do exactly that. Not just with better documents, but with a clearer understanding of who they are, what they offer, and how to communicate it in a way that opens doors — whether they are just starting their remote work journey or ready to move into something better.

Clear communication is not a soft skill.
It is a career infrastructure.
She didn't just guide me. She took the time to help me understand the process and build my confidence. Because of that, I landed my very first client. That moment truly changed my life.
